Forestry mulchers MGL light LW

The Tehnos MGL light LW forestry mulchers are a lighter version of the forestry mulcher, designed primarily for clearing partly overgrown pastures and other agricultural land. They are fitted with purpose-shaped hammers for wood, which crush material better and also allow the mulcher to be used for general purposes.

The MGL 170 LW works at a width of 170 cm with 36 hammers, requires a tractor of 80–110 hp (60–74 kW) and weighs 940 kg. The MGL 220 LW has a working width of 220 cm, 40 or 48 hammers depending on the version and a weight of 1,215 or 1,415 kg, and requires 100–140 hp (74–103 kW). Both models have 5 belts, and the PTO speed is given as (540)1000 rpm.

The rotor is electronically balanced, with the patented Low Vib hammer arrangement, which according to the manufacturer reduces vibration, deformation and stress. In the number of hammers, the MGL clearly differs from other Tehnos mulchers: the MB 170 LW side mulcher of the same working width has 16 hammers, while the MGL 170 LW has 36.
