Field mulchers MP profi LW

The Tehnos MP profi LW field mulchers are versatile, robust machines for mulching grassland, small grain cereals, maize, sunflower and other crops used for green manuring or cutting. They are suited to large agricultural areas as they allow work at higher speeds with a faster flow of mulched material.

The two models, MP 250 LW and MP 280 LW, have working widths of 250 and 280 cm, a machine offset of 51 cm and 5 belts each, and run at 540 or 1000 rpm. The number of hammers is given as 22/66 for the narrower and 26/78 for the wider model. The required tractor power is 75–120 hp (55–88 kW) and 85–130 hp (63–96 kW) respectively, and the machine weights are 1,020 and 1,108 kg.

The rotor is electronically balanced and has the patented Low Vib hammer arrangement, which according to the manufacturer reduces vibration and stress and allows the rotor to turn faster with a higher hammer tip speed. The MP profi LW differs from the lighter MPL light LW series of the same widths in its 540 and 1000 rpm drive, five belts instead of four, a larger offset of 51 instead of 41 cm and a higher weight.
