Universal mulchers ULM, UM+ and UM PRO+

FPM universal mulchers are used for mulching crop residues in agriculture (maize stalks, straw, sunflower, green residues), on public areas along roads, railways, infrastructure, watercourses and ditches, in orchards and vineyards (branches, vines, grass) and for clearing pastures. The standard version crushes branches up to 6 cm thick.

The electronically balanced rotor with its hammer blade arrangement runs smoothly and easily, with low vibration and minimal deformation, which extends the service life of the mulcher. Height is set with a roller, the gearbox with an overrunning clutch allows front and rear mounting, and the UM+ and PRO+ models have hydraulic side shift. Hammer blades for heavier conditions and counter blades are standard, universal Y blades for lighter conditions are optional, and the side transmission uses a set of V-belts with automatic tensioning.

The PRO+ version is more robust and intended for intensive work in difficult conditions in agriculture, on public areas and on pastures. It is suited to shredding tall grass and scrub on neglected land, crushes branches up to 10 cm thick, and the inner housing liner can be replaced.

The range comprises the ULM 230, UM 230+, UM 250+ and UM 280+, and the UM 250 PRO+, UM 280 PRO+ and UM 300 PRO+. Working widths range from 2.3 to 3 m, minimum tractor power from 40 kW (55 hp) to 100 kW (136 hp) and weight from 788 to 1,194 kg. The rotor diameter is 168 mm on the ULM 230 and UM 230+ and 194 mm on the other models, and the PTO runs at 540 or 1,000 rpm.
