Mulchers for arable farming RM

FPM RM mulchers are designed for shredding crop residues after the harvest of field crops such as maize, sunflower, straw, sugar beet, oilseed rape and rice. They are also used for shredding plant material and for maintaining other agricultural, public, neglected and uncultivated areas. The shredded material stays on the ground as humus, improving soil fertility and reducing the need for mineral fertilisers.

The 194 mm rotor is electronically balanced and runs at 2,230 rpm, with a diameter of 605 mm including the blades. Universal Y blades, suited to maize, sunflower, sugar beet, cotton, grass and weeds, are standard. Options are straight blades for wheat, rye, barley, oats and rice, hammer blades for woody and thicker material and, depending on the model, flail blades. One row of counter blades is standard and a second row can be fitted as an option, which is recommended for straw.

Power is transmitted from the gearbox to the side transmission by a shaft in an oil bath, and the side transmission uses a set of toothed V-belts, on both sides on the 4 and 5.6 m models. The working height is set with wheels or a roller and side skids, and the discharge angle is adjusted with a deflector on the rear hood, for spreading or gathering the material. The 4 and 5.6 m models have heavy-duty wheels and wheel carriers and heavy-duty linkage points for Category II and III tractors.

The series comprises six models, from the RM 160 with a working width of 1.6 m to the RM 560 with 5.6 m. Minimum tractor power ranges from 30 kW (40 hp) to 110 kW (150 hp), the cutting height is 2–10 cm and the weight is 700 to 2,680 kg.
