Mulchers for orchards and vineyards VM

FPM VM mulchers are primarily designed for shredding pruning residues, weeds and grass in orchards and vineyards. They are also used for shredding plant material and for maintaining other agricultural, public, neglected and uncultivated areas. The shredded residues stay on the ground as humus, improving soil fertility and reducing the need for mineral fertilisers.

The electronically balanced rotor runs at 2,230 rpm, with the blades arranged in a double spiral. Hammer blades for heavier conditions (branches, thicker weeds, grass) are standard, and universal Y blades for lighter conditions are optional. The standard counter blades have three positions and determine the degree of shredding. Drive is through a gearbox with an overrunning clutch and a side transmission with a set of toothed V-belts.

The working height is set with a side skid and/or a roller. Rear mounting is standard, with front-only or combined front and rear mounting as options. The mulcher is shifted sideways mechanically, or hydraulically on the H versions.

It is built in working widths of 1.55, 1.80 and 2.00 m, each in a standard and an H version. Minimum tractor power ranges from 18 kW (25 hp) to 26 kW (35 hp), the linkage is Category I and II, and the weight is 450 to 500 kg.
