ROTAS rotary tillers belong to the heavy-duty class and are designed for primary and secondary tillage in all types of agricultural production. Thanks to the four-speed reduction gearbox and their strong, heavy-duty construction, they can work in the most difficult conditions and on all soil types.
The gearbox with two pairs of gear wheels gives four rotor speeds: 198, 224, 279 and 316 rpm at a PTO speed of 540 rpm. The side transmission uses gears in an oil bath, the rotor can be changed quickly and easily, and the special shape and helical arrangement of the blades save energy and reduce the load on the tractor. Four blades per flange are standard, with six as an option. Working depth, up to 20 cm, is set with side skids, and a packer or cage roller can be fitted as an option.
The six models have working widths from 1.4 to 2.8 m and overall widths from 1.7 to 3.1 m. On most models the working width is offset to the right of the tractor axis, for example 46.5 cm to the left and 93.5 cm to the right on the ROTAS 140/4. Minimum tractor power ranges from 30 kW (40 hp) to 67 kW (90 hp), and weight from 356 to 710 kg.
