Germinators

The Huđik germinator is a combined seedbed cultivator for pre-sowing soil preparation which, in a single pass, works the seedbed to a set depth and finely crumbles the top layer into which the seed is placed. It consists of a heavy main beam, frames with S-tine working elements, a crumbling rotor and a ring roller that lightly firms the soil at the end of the pass, with a levelling board offered as an option. The manufacturer lists it for preparing ground for maize, wheat, barley, soya, sugar beet and onions.

It is made in working widths from 3 to 6 m, with 36 to 72 S-tines and weights from 1,050 to 2,350 kg. On the larger models, the wings fold hydraulically without leaving the cab, and the transport width is between 202 and 302 cm depending on the model. The working speed is 8–12 km/h, and the recommended tractor power rises from 80–100 hp for the 3 m width to 160–180 hp for 6 m. Working depth is adjusted from 2 to 12 cm by the frame height, and the frames are not rigidly attached to the beam but move freely around a horizontal bar, following the unevenness of the ground.

The germinator differs from Huđik seedbed cultivators of the same widths in its larger number of S-tines, for example 72 instead of 56 at a width of 6 m, and in the ring roller at the rear of the machine. All specifications
