Kubota's DMC Series disc mowers have a conditioner that cracks and crushes the stems immediately after mowing, so the mown crop dries faster. This conditioner sets them apart from the DM Series rotary mowers, and they are intended for farms that make hay. The conditioner can have nylon tines, SemiSwing steel tines or rollers, which is also shown by the last letter of the model designation: N, T or R.

The rear-mounted mowers have central suspension (DMC6000) or QuattroLink suspension (DMC6300), the front mowers are the DMC7000 and DMC7300, and the trailed DMC8000 and DMC8500 have a side drawbar. Butterfly combinations with a working width of up to about 10 m are also available. The cutter bar has triangular discs with three blades each, working in pairs, and the stubble height is 30 to 60 mm.

On the single mowers, the working width ranges from 2.40 to 3.50 m. The smallest, the DMC6024N with nylon tines, weighs 1,015 kg and requires a 68.0 hp tractor, while the rear DMC6336T with QuattroLink suspension and a 3.50 m working width requires 122.4 hp. The front DMC7036T with the same working width requires 91.1 hp. The trailed versions are the heaviest single mowers in the series, from 1,975 to 2,150 kg, and the butterfly combinations require more than 200 hp.
