DM Series rotary mowers

Kubota's DM Series rotary mowers are disc mowers for mowing grass and forage crops without conditioning. The series includes the DM1000 and DM2000 rear side-mounted mowers, the DM3000 and DM3300 rear mowers with central suspension, the DM4000 front mowers and the DM3087/DM3095 butterfly combination for large areas. The working width ranges from 1.65 m on the DM1017 to 9.50 m on the DM3095 combination, so the version is chosen according to the area and the tractor.

All models have a fully welded Kubota cutter bar with triangular discs, each with three blades. The discs work in pairs and rotate towards each other, and the stubble height is adjustable from 30 to 60 mm. The cutter bar is protected against impacts by the BreakAway system on the DM1000, and by NonStop BreakAway on the other models.

The smallest, the DM1017, has four discs and 12 blades, weighs 390 kg and requires a 35.4 hp tractor. The rear side-mounted mowers from the DM2024 to the DM2032 have a working width of 2.40 to 3.20 m, and the central suspension mowers from the DM3028 to the DM3040 a working width of 2.80 to 4.00 m, with a power requirement of up to 69.3 hp. The front DM4032S has an auger for narrowing the swath. The DM3095 butterfly combination with 20 discs and 60 blades requires 149.6 hp. The DMC Series is intended for mowing with conditioning.
