Kubota EK1-221

The Kubota EK1-221 is the smaller of the two EK1 Series models, the entry category of Kubota compact tractors. It is designed for smaller farms, gardeners and municipal services that need a simple tractor with a conventional transmission.

It is powered by a three-cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine of 952 cm³, which develops 22 hp (15.8 kW) at 3,000 rpm and meets the Stage V standard. The constant-mesh manual transmission has 9 forward and 3 reverse speeds in three ranges, and top speed is 20.2 km/h. Four-wheel drive is engaged mechanically, and the differential has a lock. The Category 1 N rear linkage lifts up to 800 kg, the PTO runs at 540 and 540E rpm and the pump delivers 14.5 l/min. One rear single-acting hydraulic valve is fitted as standard and can be converted to double-acting.

The tractor is 2,547 mm long, 1,025 mm wide and 1,940 mm high to the beacon, with ground clearance of 296 mm and a rear ROPS, so it moves easily through narrow passages. The weight is 900 kg and the fuel tank holds 24 l. The more powerful EK1-261 has a 1,318 cm³ engine and 25 hp, a wheelbase of 1,550 mm instead of 1,420 mm and a 100 kg higher weight, but a lower top speed, 18.2 km/h. All specifications
