Kubota B2231 D R

Bi-Speed steering, which speeds up the front wheels at larger steering angles, is the main difference between the Kubota B2231 D R compact tractor and the entry B2201 D R. The tractor therefore turns in a smaller circle and causes less damage to turf, which matters in the maintenance of parks and sports grounds, in municipal work and on smaller farms.

The engine has three cylinders and 1,123 cm³, like the B2201 D R, but develops 23 hp (16.9 kW) SAE gross, or 20.7 hp to ECE-R24, and 17.7 hp at the PTO. The manual transmission with 9 forward and 9 reverse speeds allows up to 20.11 km/h on agricultural tyres and 18.53 km/h on turf tyres. 4WD is engaged as needed.

The Category I linkage lifts 970 kg, the hydraulic pump delivers 18.9 l/min, and one single-acting valve is fitted as standard. A 540 rpm rear PTO and a 2,500 rpm mid PTO are available. The tractor is 2,624 mm long, with a wheelbase of 1,500 mm and ground clearance of 265 mm on agricultural tyres, and weighs 750 kg. The hydrostatic B2231 H R has the same engine, but two double-acting valves and a 30 kg higher weight, while the B2261 D R has the same transmission and a larger engine of 1,261 cm³.
