Mineral fertiliser spreaders RG

Mega Metal RG mineral fertiliser spreaders are used for spreading dry mineral and granular fertiliser, evenly across the full width or separately to the left or right. As well as for fertilising, they can be used for sowing wheat and other cereals and for spreading salt in winter. They are available plastic-coated or in stainless steel.

The RG 300 has a capacity of 300 l, weighs 47 kg and has a load capacity of 250 kg; the RG 400 has a capacity of 400 l, weighs 58 kg and has a load capacity of 350 kg; and the RG 500 has a capacity of 500 l, weighs 64 kg and has a load capacity of 450 kg. The RG 300 and RG 400 require a tractor of 18 kW (24 hp), and the RG 500 a tractor of 25 kW (34 hp). All models share a spreading width of 5–15 m, a working speed of 5–15 km/h and a maximum of 540 rpm on the drive shaft.

Attachments adapt the spreader to other jobs. The top-dressing attachment allows fertiliser to be metered into 4 rows with adjustable row width, and the orchard and vineyard attachment allows top-dressing in one or two rows. For winter there is a salt spreading attachment and a salt agitator, and a cover is also available. The deep placement unit applies mineral fertiliser directly into the soil of vineyards and orchards to a depth of 25 cm, in a version with a placement width of 1.4–2.2 m or 2.2–3 m, and requires a 40 hp tractor.
